The Soulard Special Business District (SSBD) is seeking applicants to fill a vacant board position. This vacant board position fulfills the Ordinance’s requirement for an “owner-occupant of residential real property”.
To qualify for this position, applicants must:
- Be a resident of the State of Missouri;
- Be at least 21 years of age;
- Be current on all City taxes (property, personal property, income);
- Be an owner-occupant of residential real property used as a detached single family residence, condominium or a building of four (4) dwelling units or less within the District.
- NOT be an employee or elected official of the City of St. Louis

- Nominee must submit an application and a nomination & disclosure form by clicking here – https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/boards/apply-to-serve.cfm
- Nominee must complete the nomination petition (linked here), which requires 10 signatures from registered voters living in the District. This completed form should be emailed to info@soulard-sbd.org
- Nominee shall submit their bio and rationale for serving on the District board (can be emailed to info@soulard-sbd.org)
This appointment shall serve a four (4) year term and be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the Board of Aldermen.
